Hakimi Ranked Second Among Fastest Players in the Champions League
UEFA statistics have revealed the ranking of the fastest players since the start of the Champions League group stage. Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi secured the second spot with an impressive top speed of 36.5 km/h.
Erling Haaland topped the list as the fastest player in the competition, reaching 36.6 km/h. Hakimi outpaced his former Paris Saint-Germain teammate Kylian Mbappé, who ranked third with 36.4 km/h. In fourth place was Manchester City's Matheus Nunes with 36.3 km/h, followed by Brest forward Momo Baldé, who clocked in at 36.1 km/h.
Hakimi has been one of the standout performers in the tournament, excelling both defensively and offensively. His consistency at the highest level of European football further cements his reputation as one of the world’s best full-backs.
This season, Hakimi has played 11 matches in the Champions League for Paris Saint-Germain, scoring one goal and providing five assists.
PSG is now preparing for a crucial second-leg clash against Liverpool next Wednesday in the Round of 16. After a 1-0 defeat in the first leg, the French side will be aiming for a dramatic comeback at Anfield.
